Dr. Samia is the President of Emirates Society of Mental Health (ESMH), also the President of Arab Federation of Psychiatrists (AFP), and the Secretary of Education and Training in Asian Federation of Psychiatric Associations (AFPA). Dr. Samia is the Chair of Wellbeing Committee; in Post Graduate Medical Education, Mohammed Bin Rashid University of Medicine and Health Sciences in Dubai Health, and the Head of Scientific Program in the Psychiatry Department – Rashid Hospital in Dubai Health. She plays a great important role on the awareness of mental health in United Arab Emirates, and she is the Head of Mental Health Awareness Campaign – Dubai Health. She also the core organizing of many Regional and International conferences/congress. Dr. Samia has Several Publications in peer reviewed International Journals. She is an author of two Books on Self Harm in Substance Abuse Population and Professionals' Perceptions of Sexual Abuse. Dr Fatima Youssef is the vice president of the Emirates Society of Mental Health. She has been working as a psychiatrist from June 2018 to date. On completion of the Arab Board Psychiatry Residency Programme at Rashid Hospital, Dubai Health Authority (DHA), Dr Fatima worked as a Psychiatrist in the Rashid Hospital’s Psychiatry Department until January 2023 when she started working in Al Jalila Children’s Hospital’s Mental Health Centre of Excellence. She was the clinical director for special Olympic – strong minds in UAE from 2019 till 2021. Her passion is to help others overcome their struggles and to remove the stigma of mental illness.

Dr. Alkhatib's medical journey began with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery from the University of Sharjah, where he actively engaged in patient care and clinical rotations across various specialties under the Ministry of Health. With a strong foundation in medicine, Dr. Alkhatib completed internship training at Dubai Health Authority hospitals, gaining hands-on experience in surgery, obstetrics/gynecology, pediatrics, psychiatry, and more. His commitment to continuous learning is evident through elective training in general surgery and internal medicine, further enhancing his clinical expertise. Dr. Alkhatib's skills extend beyond clinical practice, including excellent communication in Arabic and English, proficiency in Microsoft applications, and basic life support certification from the American Heart Association. He has actively participated in extracurricular activities, such as serving on the Peer Advisor Committee and Medical Student Association at the University of Sharjah, demonstrating his dedication to both professional and community engagement. Moreover, Dr. Alkhatib has contributed to research on "Adult Awareness about the physical impact of computer use," showcasing his interest in public health and community-based initiatives. Maitha Al Kendi is a Clinical Psychologist at Rashid Hospital. She has earned her Master of Science in Clinical Psychology at United Arab Emirates University (UAEU). During her practice, she has worked with a wide range of mental health issues gaining the experience in providing psychological support, conducting psychometric assessment, and implementing evidence-based interventions. She is also involved providing mental health and wellbeing lectures and workshops for medical staff, training psychologist interns and clinical attachments and an active member in committees dedicated to enhancing residents’ wellbeing.
